(TCI-GIS): The Turks and Caicos Islands Sports Commission is soon to host the 2nd Annual Corporate Games, a sporting event that will feature staffers from across the Turks and Caicos Islands coming together for friendly competition.

The objective of these games is to encourage and provide all workers within the Turks and Caicos Islands, whether public or private sector, with an opportunity to participate in organized sports and to pursue a sport discipline.

Physical activity is known to increase morale of workers within companies and communities; also, the Commission sees these games as being an excellent opportunity for networking amongst businesses and organisations.

Games featured in the 2nd Annual Corporate Games include: Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Soccer and Dominoes.

Awards from last year games will be presented to various companies on opening night, Friday, October 10; with the games slated to commence on Monday, October 13.

To this end, the Sports Commission will be hosting a preliminary meeting for representatives of all interested companies and organizations, to be held at the Gustarvus Lightbourne Spots Complex on Friday, September 26, 2008, at 6:00pm.
