The previous president Mr A. Butterfield, who served in the top spot for approximately six months, had only conducted one meeting and it appears that, due to the pressures of business, he was unable to devote the needed time to the Chamber. He could not be reached for comment.
Mrs Parnell, the wife of Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM) leader Douglas Parnell, has sent a letter to Governor Wetherell requesting information on the activities planned by the interim government for the promotion of the islands and for information relating to the treatment of potential investors.
The Chamber of Commerce is also planning a workshop to provide information relative to the new National Health Plan, which will commence in approximately 45 days.
Mrs Parnell has scheduled regular meetings for the first Monday of each month. | | | | Reads : 311 |
