TCI Bank seeing positive results in Merchant Card Services product

TCI Bank Limited last October launched a Merchant Card Services product for businesses. Results have reportedly been positive, with numerous machines already installed across the Turks & Caicos Islands.

Designed around the need for businesses to be able to accept credit cards as a payment option, feedback from the Bank’s installed base of business customers indicates that (1) the service set‐up time is short and (2) pricing is advantageous compared with other banks.

“This is a product that we prepared for diligently in order to be able to provide a high quality service to our business customers. We’ve surpassed our expectations and plan for further growth. The strong results we have achieved comport with the fact that a lot of tourists and some residents of the Turks & Caicos Islands prefer to use credit cards rather than cash to make payments. From the perspective of a service‐provider, it is convenient and easy to set up. Customers take the point‐of‐view that it eliminates the need to frequently deposit cash in the bank, because we process transactions electronically,” said Managing Director, John Benjamin.

“Clients are flocking to this product because of the efficiency, customer service and competitive rates that TCI Bank Limited is offering. Client feedback has been extremely positive. I have to thank my dedicated card services team for their tenacious adherence to the high service standards we have set to attain the gratifying results the Bank has managed to register. These two strategy elements: (1) efficiency and (2) consistent customer‐service‐oriented tendencies are driving the positive reaction to this product.,” said Manager of IT, Carson Brathwaite.
